Top 7 Reasons why Pratibha Patil isn’t Respected as much as other Indian Presidents

Pratibha Patil’s 5 year Presidential reign from 2007 to 2012 was the most uneventful 5 year period in the history of the Rashtrapati Bahavan. When her tenure was over, all of India heaved a collective sigh of relief.Reasons why Pratibha Patil isn't Respected as much as other Indian Presidents
No other President has managed to garner such universal hatred. The only people who still pretend to respect her are the rest of the congress loyalist stooges just like her.
Here are 7 reasons why she was the worst President in Indian History.
7. She was Unworthy of the High Office in the First Place
Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam; such are the names that have brought dignity to the office of the President and brought pride to every Indian. But Pratibha Patil was a nobody when she was selected to be the President. Nobody outside Maharashtra knew who she was. But that didn’t matter because she was well known to the Gandhi family. They say Indira Gandhi loved her Puran Poli. That might have qualified her to be the judge of the Indian Masterchef maybe, but the President of India? The truth is that she was chosen for her servility to the Congress high command.
6. She Used her Power to Help her Family
Even before she became the President she wasn’t an honest politician. You might say that there are no honest politicians but it was clearly known that she had always used her power to help her family. She started a Cooperative Bank that was shut down because it was giving loans to her family members on relaxed interest rates. After she became president she continued to help her son’s political career. While all politicians tend to favor their family, she could have restricted her abuse of power out of respect for her position as the first citizen of India.
5. Her Death Pardons
The only thing she did in her tenure was pardon death sentences without discrimination. While Pranab Mukherjee has decided to not pardon anyone, she had decided to pardon everyone. She pardoned many criminals who had committed brutal crimes, including rape and murder. While this can be attributed to her personal philosophy of forgiving every crime, it isn’t something to be proud of as the biggest achievement of her career.
4. Her Extensive Foreign Travels
When she was about to retire, jokes about her foreign travels started doing the rounds in Delhi. It was said that the people who would miss her most would be the pilots and crew of Air India. Another quip claimed that once she retires she’s taking a flight from Delhi to her home in Pune via Bali, Tahiti, Hawaii, California, Miami, Corfu and Dubai. All these jokes were made because of her extraordinary expenditure on foreign travel. She used her Presidency as a five year vacation paid for by Indian taxpayers like you and me.
3. Her Post Retirement Plans
Another black mark on her term as President came when she tried to grab defense land in Pune to build her retirement home. She then tried to get money from the government to refurnish and refurbish her home to prepare for her retirement. This is the condition of our President now when just a few decades ago Dr. Rajendra Prasad donated his own personal land to Vinoba Bhave.
2. She didn’t Live up to the Expectations from Our 1st Women President
When she became President, despite her unfamiliarity, many Indians were hopeful about the first women President of India. There were expectations to be fulfilled that she utterly failed at. During the last few weeks of her term as President there were horrible attacks on women and the whole issue of safety of women came to the fore. Our President was as mute as our Prime Minister.
1. She put Party before Country
In the end the only thing we can say is that she was just another paper pusher employed by the Congress Party. Between Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister and Pratibha Patil as President our nation’s rulers have never been so impotent. She never used her power as the President to question any of Congress’s actions. She just sat on her chair and signed where she was told to sign. That is the biggest reason why she is the worst President in Indian history.

Sonia Gandhi diagnosed with cervical cancer

Congress president Sonia Gandhi is understood to have undergone a surgery for cervical cancer at Memorial Sloan—Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) private hospital—in New York on Thursday.
The surgery, said informed medical sources, was successful and Sonia is now in the hospital’s intensive care unit and recuperating well.

The surgery, conducted by a team of doctors led by leading Indian-American physician Dattatreyudu Nori, took about an hour, said the sources. Sonia may have to spend up to a month’s time for post-surgery follow-up treatment. It is not clear if she will be spending time in MSKCC for the whole duration of the post-surgical treatments.

The sources said the nature of the post-surgical follow-up treatment, including radiation therapy, would be known in a day or two, on the basis of cystography reports.

Reports from the US suggested that senior IAS officer Pulok Chatterji, who is set to return to Delhi as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister in October from his current assignment in the US as Executive Director, World Bank, is understood to have arranged for Dr Nori to perform the surgery on Sonia at MSKCC where she was admitted as an “unlisted” patient. Chatterji has been a close aide of Sonia for a long time.

Sonia’s children— Rahul and Priyanka — and son-in-law Robert Vadra are with her. In view of the post-surgery treatments, it may take up to a month for the 64-year-old Sonia to return to India.
In the national capital, the Congress party, however, on Friday was very brief with the medical information regarding its leader, leading to speculations over the kind of ailment she suffered from.

A brief statement put out by the party said Sonia underwent a surgery on August 4 and the surgeon has indicated that the operation has been successful. It, however, did not disclose the reasons that necessitated Sonia to undergo the surgery. Nor did the statement mention the hospital or the country where she underwent the surgery.

“Presently Gandhi is in ICU,” the statement released by party’s chief spokesperson Janardan Dwivedi said, without elaborating. The statement requested that Sonia’s privacy be respected.

“This is a personal matter that pertains to her health and medical treatment. Her family requests that her privacy be respected,” Dwivedi said. Indicating that Sonia had a medical condition that required surgery, the party on Thursday announced the setting up of a four-member committee to look after the organisational affairs in her absence, comprising Rahul Gandhi, A K Antony, Ahmed Patel and Dwivedi.

Nathuram Godse : A Misunderstood Character

Godse is often a misunderstood character.

He is referred to as a Hindu fanatic. It is often hard to understand Godse because the Government of India had suppressed information about him. His court statements, letters etc. were all banned from the public until recently. Judging from his writings one thing becomes very clear – He was no fanatic. His court statements are very well read out and indicate a calm and collected mental disposition. He never even once speaks ill about Gandhi as a person, but only attacks Gandhi's policies which caused ruin and untold misery to Hindus. Another interesting point to note is that Godse had been working with the Hindu refugees fleeing from Pakistan. He had seen the horrible atrocities committed on them. Many women had their hands cut off, nose cut off, even little girls had been raped mercilessly. Despite this Godse did not harm even single Muslim in India which he could easily have. So it would be a grave mistake to call him a Hindu fanatic.

Let us start by studying the motive behind Godse's act. By seeing the nature of the assassination in public space and Godse's act of turning himself over to the Police, we can see that Godse did not do this for personal reasons. He very well knew that he would be hanged and his name would be disgraced as Gandhi was considered a saint. And again Godse could have ran away and escaped punishment. But he did the reverse. He called a police officer and courted arrest. Before we proceed it would be wise to understand the backdrop of the assassination.

The central government had taken a decision — Pakistan will not be given Rs 55 crores. On January 13 Gandhi started a fast unto death that Pakistan must be given the money. On January 13, the central government changed its earlier decision and announced that Pakistan would be given the amount. On January 13, Nathuram decided to assassinate Gandhi.

Nathuram Godse was a learned man, very sharp and intelligent – editor of "Agrani" (one of the most famous newspaper of that time – with Nana Aapte). In his last editorial of "Agrani" which he changed overnight – he said "Gandhi must be stopped – at any cost" and he justified why Gandhiji's assassination was not only inevitable but also a delayed action, sth tht shud've happened LONG AGO.

In Nathuram's words - " I don't refute Gandhi's theory of non-violence. He may be a saint but he is not a politician. His theory of non-violence denies self-defence and self-interest. The non-violence that defines the fight for survival as violence is a theory not of non-violence but of self-destruction.The division of the nation was an unnecessary decision. What was the percentage of the Muslim population as compared to the population of the nation? There was no need for a separate nation. Had it been a just demand, Maulana Azad would not have stayed back in India. But because Jinnah insisted and because Gandhi took his side, India was divided, in spite of opposition from the nation, the Cabinet. An individual is never greater than a nation.

In a democracy you cannot put forward your demands at knife-point. Jinnah did it and Gandhi stabbed the nation with the same knife. He dissected the land and gave a piece to Pakistan. We did picket that time but in vain. The Father of our Nation went to perform his paternal duties for Pakistan! Gandhi blackmailed the cabinet with his fast unto death. His body, his threats to die are causing the destruction — geographical as well as economical — of the nation. Today, Muslims have taken a part of the nation, tomorrow Sikhs may ask for Punjab. The religions are again dividend into castes, they will demand sub-divisions of the divisions. What remains of the concept of one nation, national integration? Why did we fight the British in unison for independence? Why not separately? Bhagat Singh did not ask only for an independent Punjab or Subhash Chandra Bose for an independent Bengal?

I am going to assassinate him in the open, before the public, because I am going to do it as my duty. If I do it surreptitiously, it becomes a crime in my own eyes. I will not try to escape, I will surrender and naturally I will be hanged. One assassination, one hanging. I don't want two executions for one assassination and I don't want your involvement, participation or company. (This was for Nana-Apte and Veer Savarkar as they were against ghandhi's policies too, Godse wanted to assassinate gandhi all by himself and took promise from Nana Apte that he will continue helping Veer Savarkar in rebuilding India as a strong free nation.)

On January 30, I reached Birla Bhavan at 12 pm. Gandhi was sitting outside on a cot enjoying the sunshine. Vallabhbhai Patel's granddaughter was sitting at his feet. I had the revolver with me. I could have assassinated him easily then, but I was convinced that his assassination was to be a punishment and a sentence against him, and I would execute him. I wanted witnesses for the execution but there were none. I did not want to escape after the execution as there was not an iota of guilt in my mind. I wanted to surrender, but surrender to whom? There was a good crowd to collect for the evening prayers. I decided on the evening of January 30 as the date for Gandhi's execution.

Gandhi climbed the steps and came forward. He had kept his hands on the shoulders of the two girls. I wanted just three seconds more. I moved two steps forward and faced Gandhi. Now I wanted to take out the revolver and salute him for whatever sacrifice and service he had made for the nation. One of the two girls was dangerously close to Gandhi and I was afraid that she might be injured in the course of firing. As a precautionary measure I went one more step ahead, bowed before him and gently pushed the girl away from the firing line. The next moment I fired at Gandhi. Gandhi was very weak, there was a feeble sound like 'aah' (There are proof that Gandhi did NOT say "Hey Raam" at that time – it's just made up stuff ) from him and he fell down.

After the firing I raised my hand holding the revolver and shouted, 'Police, police'. For 30 seconds nobody came forward and I scanned the crowd. I saw a police officer. I signalled to him to come forward and arrest me. He came and caught my wrist, then a second man came and touched the revolver… I let it go…"

DEATH OF LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI STILL REMAINS A MYSTERY

The puny Lal Bahadur Shastri ( 2 October 1904 – 11 January 1966) was the second Prime Minister of the Republic of India and a leader of the Indian National Congress party. He joined the Indian independence movement in the 1920s and impressed and influenced by Congress leader MK Gandhi, he became his follower, first of Gandhi, and then of Jawaharlal Nehru. Following independence in 1947, he joined the latter's government and became one of Prime Minister Nehru's principal lieutenants and close aid, He served as Railways Minister (1951–56), and then in a variety of other functions, including Home Minister. He has become famous after his resignation as railway minister after a serious train accident owning responsibility. This was unlike what we see today. Rustic pan chewing Lalu Prasad Yadav claimed that he had no direct responsibility in accidents when he was railway minister and many accidents took place. He shamelessly stuck to his seat. Such are the changed values today. Shastriji was chosen as Nehru's successor owing to his adherence of Nehruvian socialism after Nehru's daughter Indira Gandhi turned down Congress President K. Kamaraj's offer of premiership. Kamraj although was great man , found glory in promoting dynastic succession. Indira Gandhi reportedly refused the offer.
Shastriji as Prime Minister continued Nehru's policies of non-alignment and socialism that took us nowhere. He became a national hero following the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965. His slogan of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" ("Hail the soldier, Hail the farmer") became very popular during the war and is remembered even today . But the slogan is now for only remembering. Everyday one can find news of suicides by farmers in media particularly in AP. Less said is better about treatment meted to army men. Recently we have seen how the issue of former Army Chief General VK Singh was handled by the central govt. The pay commission problems are known to the whole world. The supremacy of civil authority in a democratic setup has degraded Defense forces to such an extent that none of bright youth volunteer to join these services. There is a great shortage of officers in army and third rate or even fourth rate stuff keep knocking at the doors. Less said is better about ex- service men. Officers- class do not want to reveal their identity for the fear of finding themselves in humiliating condition in a civil society. Thus Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan slogan died with Shastriji long ago and it remains a mockery now. Mother is remembered in pain and a soldier is remembered in war. Rest of the time they are kicked around. This may be harsh fact unpleasant to some. But fact remains true. A sad naked truth to digest.
The war of 1965 was formally ended with the Tashkent Agreement of 10 January 1966; he died the following day, still in Tashkent, of a heart attack ( Reportedly). The nation was stunned receiving the news of his death and great calamity fell on the country at the tragic hour. Time and tide wait for no man. Soon Indira Gandhi was chosen as the PM of India although stalwarts like YB Chawan, Morarji Desai, and Gulzari lal Nanda were there. The bacteria virus of dynastic succession already entered the blood stream of Congress party leaders and they could never imagine any other one as a PM of India while the party was in power.
Sudden death of Shastriji in a far off land at the end of 1965 war with Pakistan resulted in many questions, doubts and theories and most of the answers remain doubtful although official versions indicated heart attack. The real truths still remain as mystery to the people of India. There are many speculations, riddles, unsolved puzzles pointing to some mischief in the death of Indian PM in a far off land . After Shastri’s death in Tashkent, USSR, on January 11, 1966 soon after signing the Tashkent Pact with Pakistan, his wife Lalita had alleged he was poisoned. Thus people of India are surely suspicious of the happenings in which Shastriji died.

The important issues are:
1. There were dark spots and cut marks on abdomen of the dead leader. No post mortem was conducted on the dead body. The question is from where such cut s have come?
2. A query was later posed by Anuj Dhar, author of CIA’s Eye on South Asia, under the Right to Information Act about his death but the government had refused to part with classified information on the issue. The Prime Minister’s Office, while refusing information under the RTI Act on the cause and circumstances of Shastri’s death, had said revealing these details could harm India’s foreign relations and would violate Parliamentary Privilege
3. The government had admitted no postmortem was conducted on Shastri. However, his personal doctor R N Chugh and some Russian doctors conducted a medical examination.
4. The Russian butler attending on Shastri at the time of his death was arrested for suspected poisoning but released later.
5. Kuldip Nayars statement offers insight into the issue (4). During an interview he stated, “Shastri has been forgotten by the nation. He has been pushed into the background. I have no doubt that there was a Congress conspiracy to underplay Shastri after his death. The Congress is the party that should have put him to the fore but I remember visiting a Congress meeting where Shastri’s portrait was not even displayed with respect. They even protested against inscribing the slogan – Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan on his samadhi. Then again, only when Mrs Shastri threatened to go on a hunger strike was it was allowed.”
6. Dr R.N. Chugh, the accompanying physician was found dead in a roadside accident
7. After some more time, Dr Chughs wife and one son died in a road accident. How mysterious is that Dr Chugh who was the key witness to the incident died in a strange circumstances followed soon by his wife and a son.
8. The suspicions among people in this regard to Shastris death as summarized byDebasish Battacharjee are (5) (6) :
i. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was inside a jail in USSR (He died in 1976)
ii. USSR was threatening Jawaharlal of Netaji’s release if business not done with them.
iii. USSR made good business relation with India showing Netaji inside jail.
iv. Jawarlal died and Lal Bahadur Shastri became Indian PM
v. USSR can’t threaten him because if Shastri knows about Netaji, he will tell to release Netaji and welcome him.
vi. USSR wanted somebody in power who can be threatened and utilized.
vii. Indira Gandhi was consulted by Sr. Defence Official (He wrote in Diary)
viii. In Tashkent (USSR), Shastri was given poison in the milk.
ix. He went to Coma and died.
x. There was no inquiry / committee given to check the whole thing.
xi. Media was made silent.
xii. Indira gandhi came into power.
xiii. USSR had good business thereafter.

The above suspicions could be conjectures, but people of India are suspicious of some plot and clever execution at some high level that has been kept great secret over the years. Netajis disappearance has been a unsolved mystery till date.Nana sahib Peshwas disappearance in 1857 war has also been a great mystery. Hero of 1857 war Tantya Tope’s hanging has been also a mystery and people are not accepting government versions.
Thus we see that the death of Shastriji is surrounded in mystery and it is necessary that it be solved. Will it remain one of the many unsolved mysteries of the world?

Did Sonia forced Rajiv to be a Christian?

"Mera juta hai japani, yah patllon Englistani, sar pe lal topi rusi, fir bhi dil hai Hindustani” (My shoe is Japanee, this full pant Englistani, red cap on the head, yet heart is Hindustani) Sonia wears Sari but her ‘Dil (heart)’ is Italian. Never mind that Sonia smears her forehead with a "Tilak" and also wears a Sari. She is no more Hindu than the other Christian Missionaries in India who are posing as "Swamis.
Sonia symbolizes Christian power in India. Such was the Maino family's devotion to their Church and their religion that it insisted not only on her continuing to be a Christian but also on her husband -- to embrace the faith. People have information that both Rajiv and Sonia listed themselves as Christians . Priyaka Gandhi married in a converted Christian family 'Vadera'.
Christians are busy changing their tactics and are assuming the posture of "Secularism," as an indigenous Indian faith (Christianity) and not an alien faith. They are using a variety of strategies to put forth their new secular image. The Christian Ashram Scheme is an attempt to give Christianity the Indian face and the lavish title of Secularism, without changing any of the basic doctrines of Christianity. Smart Hindus do not fall for this facade but lot of dupes and unsophisticated Hindus fall for this Christian wickedness and fraud.
Christian Congress governments of North-East India are openly telling the Non-Christians that "this is a Christian State and that Non-Christians have no business or domicile here. Either they get converted or they will be eliminated or kicked out."
Think: Why ‘Bharatrat ratn’ to Mother Teresa, ‘Padmashree’ to Glady Staines, Govt. welcome to fraud Benny Hinn and Jail to Kanchi Mutt Seer? Why three days mourn on the death of Pope II? Why she is Super PM to devalue PM post? Who forced Jayalalitha to draw back anti-conversion bill? Why protests by Christian against Anti-Conversion bill of Rajasthan and Gujarat?
This is a war between Rome-Raaj and Ram-Raaj. No body should have any doubt what is in the mind of Sonia’s powerful Christian Lobby including Glady Staines and wife of Benny Hinns.
Christians are using immoral means to convert Hindus into Christianity. Sari wearing nuns enter poor villages with food, clothing and money. The rest is history. People should fight whichever way possible against to counter it.
Bangladeshi infiltration for conversion in to Christianity
But more than this, the findings have also revealed that illegal Muslim migrants from Bangladesh too have been increasingly reporting as Christians "guided by survival strategy and adverse economic conditions." Obviously, the Christian leaders are using militancy to intimidate the illegal migrants, particularly in the Christian -dominated hilly regions, to convert them to Christianity. They too, like the Hindus, are being lured with all kinds of economic benefits to get converted.
Check Demographic slide
However, against the national growth rate of 22.6 per cent, Nagaland reported as high as 69.2 per cent growth, followed intriguingly enough, by Gujarat with 56.3 per cent growth of Christian population, by Orissa 34.8 per cent, Meghalaya 42.1 per cent, Chhattisgarh 32.5 per cent, West Bengal 34.3 per cent, Punjab 30 per cent and Mizoram 30.7 per cent. However, Kerala, which accounted for the largest share of Christians in the country, reg!
istered only 7.8 per cent growth while Andhra Pradesh reported minus growth (-2.8), the findings said. So Christian Rajshekhar became CM there to increase the figuge. Tripura for example, during 1991-2001, the Hindu population grew by 15 per cent while the Christian population grew by 121 per cent.
Trilochan Singh of Minority Commission said that there was a tremendous increase of Christian population in Northeast states. In fact, conversion is taking place on a mass-scale in large parts of the Northeast where poor, backward tribal fall easy prey to the lure of money and other inducements to embrace Christianity. But if they don't, the job is taken over by the militant groups, most of which are operating in the region only to convert people to Christianity under the guise of insurgent outfits. There are a couple of such outfits operate!
While nobody should have any objection to such a development in a secular country, what every secularist must object to is the fact that, while the Muslim population is rising alarmingly due to illegal influx from Bangladesh, the Christian population is rising due to conversion, both forced and induced, of mostly the gullible Hindus who do not have any means to defend themselves. It is high time all the States including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura passed anti-conversion laws with stringent penal provisions to at least partially check this demographic slide without any further delay.

Dead Silence on the killers of Lal Bahadur Shastri ?

he Soviet newspaper Tass put the cold message: «The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and the Council of Ministers of the USSR is sad to notice that 11 Jan, 1966 in 1 hour and 32 minutes in Tashkent died a distinguished statesman, Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri ».

The USSR government presented a façade of investigation by arresting the Soviet cook Sattarov and also others, on suspicion of poisoning the Indian Premier, but later absolved them of the charges. Are these facts not throwing dim light towards the killers and contract killers?

In 2009, Anuj Dhar, author of CIA's Eye on South Asia and India's answer to the X-Files, asked the Indian Prime Minister's Office (PMO) under a Right to Information (RTI) plea that Shastri's cause of death be made public. In July 2009 the PMO refused to oblige, claiming this would lead to harming of foreign relations, cause disruption in the country and cause breach of parliamentary privileges. The PMO did reveal that it had in its possession one document related to Shastri's death. Why it should not be in public domain?

The PMO admitted that it had a classified document on Shastri's death, but refused to declassify it. The PMO argued that declassifying the Shastri document could harm foreign relations, create disruption in the country and cause a breach of parliamentary privilege. It not only acknowledges having something to hide about Shastri's death, but also indirectly admits that the secret is explosive.

The above refusal of Indian Government clearly showed that Lal Bahadur Shastri’s death was not by heart attack.

In fact there were bloody hands of the heads of country or countries and those might be CIA, KGB, ISI or ……. That was a war-time prime minister who died suddenly not just while in office, but while attending a critical summit in a super power foreign country to discuss terms to end the war. Why dead silence still on the Shastri’s death?

Who hired arrested suspected killers to kill Lal Bahadur Shastri? Who had kept and still is keeping dead silence on the mysterious death of Shastri jee?
